Slide/Tape is a pre-digital medium where slide projector images were synchronised with sound from cassettes to produce audiovisual artwork. The format was adopted by artists for a brief period in the 1970s and 1980s, but its eventual obsolescence to video and digital display has led to many of the works associated with the medium becoming neglected from official histories of British art, something this joint exhibition between Vivid Projects and Loughborough University aimed to rectify. The title treatment evokes technology companies of the period, many now defunct.
