Alain Badiou
Rhapsody for the Theatre

Book cover, 5.5 x 8.5″ paperback
Verso Books

This collection draws together Badiou’s writing on the theatre which Badiou sees as being closely related to politics, with both depending on texts which are collectively enacted by a small group of actors or militants. The design takes a tape ‘spike’, used to mark out a position onstage, and uses it to cross out the title text, suggesting both the physical space of theatre and the act of opposition.
